Moreland City FC is pleased to announce another high-quality appointment to join its Football Development program. Kieran McDowell, a former MCSC player and coach, is coming home as the club’s Technical Director and Goalkeeping coach. Kieran has an AFC B Licence , a Level 1 AFC Goalkeeping Coach accreditation and is a VIT Registered Teacher.
Kieran will be working closely with Head of Football Development, Colin Cooper, focusing on FA Technical reports, FFA curriculum, support for coaches, player selection, Goalkeeping development and supporting the Head of Football role. "With the momentum building in this project, I am excited to be joining as Moreland City Technical Director and Goalkeeper Coach to help deliver a well-rounded football program for our juniors. Having recently played and coached Moreland for over 8 years, this is a place so close to my heart, it was an easy decision to give back and support the juniors. What made it easier was everything going on behind the scenes and the opportunity to work with like-minded people. Being a position I have held in the past, I am keen to use my knowledge of the club and FFA's footballing strategy to offer support to Coops and the club’s junior coaches, giving them assistance in implementing our system."
